In Moves, a year long animation playlist project, I attempted to engage with the personal and the public joys of music and dance. with a particular focus on spotlighting Bay Area artists and artists of marginalized gender identities. Each video magnifies a moment of physical freedom and connects it to an individual and collective auditory experience.
With over one hundred dance references, sourced remotely and in person, publicly and privately, this project was an opportunity to create a visually engaging playlist by and for communities I feel blessed to call my own.
The project was released on Instagram from 2019 to 2020. I primarily used Rough Animator and After Effects. Other software included Cinema4D, Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and Resolume.
